An update.Hi! Well first off I am mutequacky. Just wanted to leave you with a friendly reminder that all fractals submitted to this group need to have parameters included. Also, I renamed the Tutorial folder to Fractal Resources (For scripts, tutorials, plugins, and also parameter packs. With that said, happy fractaling!!

Martha's Apophysis project - your input needed!marthig has a great Apophysis project going on and she'd like the help of some fellow apoholics!
From her journal...
The f--l--A--r--k ApoChallenges will soon reach the 100th Challenge.
Stan asked to all the participants, to bring some ideas to celebrate that "milestone"
My suggestion is sort of a personal project but
I will need help from all of the Apophysis "experts".
It would be to make some sort of Manual for those new "ApoAddicts" describing what some of the most used plugins do and where or in what type of flame or together with which other plugin they can be more successfully used. I mean those in the first (white) part and those in the Blue part of the "variations" tab
What I mean by this ? An example, from my most superficial knowledge of Apophysis would be:
"linear" is great for doing tiles and/or spirals
"julian" is just fabulous and you can make beautiful structures varying the "power" and "d
hi!i know it's been awhile since we updated this part....i want to thank you so much for submitting all the wonderful params to our little group here! you guys are the best!
DothackerDaichiI'm sure a lot of you have noticed that a very prominent and beloved member of the fractal community has been banned recently.
I'm not going to go into details here, because it's not the place. BUT. If you would like to help out OutsideFate , this is what you can do!
Send FarDareisMai a note with a list of contributions that he made to the fractal community or visit the :#aposhack: chat room and tell us anything you love about him. The more people send them in, the better this will be. It doesn't have to be a huge thing either, personal stories and "testimonials" are great. Even if it is just something like "We had a param pong once and it was a lot of fun" that is AWESOME.
Hi! and a thank you!Hi! i just wanted to say thank you for all the amazing params you guys are posting....it's wonderful!!!
i have been going over some of my old params lately and my question to you is this: Are there any specific types of flames that you want params for???
lemme hear from you!
Depth in UFHiya! Thank you so much for all your awesome submissions, it's so nice to have somewhere that people can share parameters if you can't get into the :#aposhack:
I really wanted to learn how to create depth in UF fractals and recently Jimpan1973 was kind enough to share this awesome tutorial http://jimpan1973.deviantart.com/art/Ultra-Fractal-Params-Tutorial-195228604 Here are some params from when I was practicing this if you'd like to tweak
Hello to you all!recently i have been asked a few times about styles of fractals....so today i thought one style worth looking at is radial blur flowers....i first found them looking at NatalieKelsey's beautiful flame pack that contains the starting params for one http://dragonwinter.deviantart.com/gallery/4341#/d1a48gq.....there are also some scripts on this style as well...two from gitte http://gitte.deviantart.com/gallery/35445#/d1zl03d and http://gitte.deviantart.com/gallery/35445#/d12izoa and there are 2 from Kabuchan http://kabuchan.deviantart.com/gallery/2771512#/d2czmdp and http://kabuchan.deviantart.com/gallery/2771512#/d2d7ew7
i know that radial blurs can be a bit difficult to render but chaotica does an amazing job.....http://lyc.deviantart.com/art/chaotica-178994646
what's up with you today?
Inspiration: Art websitesMany people asked me about which sites I use (or used) to learn and keep myself updated about art. So I decided to make a list with art websites that offer tutorials, advice, or other content that inspired me. Of course there are many other individual artists that inspire me greatly, but I've tried to keep this list to the ones that provide the community of advice and tutorials (otherwise I could go on forever).
I hope you enjoy it ^__^
A large collection of video tutorials, mainly on human anatomy. Very detailed, to the point, and with visuals that make it easy to follow even for non-native English speakers.

It seems only fitting that we recite the Charge Of The Light Brigade when imagining these otherworldly and battle ready warriors from alternate realms transformed by Daniel’s imagination as they prepare for war. “The Charge of the Light Brigade” a 1854 poem about the Battle of Balaclava (Crimean War) by then Poet Laureate Alfred Lord Tennyson.

Halloween entertainment… or invitation to evil?
Grimoire 2 by AndrewDobell
We all know from the movies that a vampire can’t cross over the threshold into one’s home without being invited. And yet simply knowing that Dracula can be held at bay so easily makes issuing that invitation all the more irresistible. Could such things as supernatural beings actually be real? And could there be ways for we mere mortals to have the power to evoke them into existence or dismiss them as we might pleas

There’s something about the brilliant colors of the dying leaves of autumn that reflects the wonders and the sorrows of life. It’s as if by waking up each morning into this beautiful world of natural colors, we are being given our bittersweet reward for surviving another year on the planet. We are regaled with a brief seasonal ceremony of the turning of the leaves, nature’s gift for our eyes as a promise she will soon return after her yearly rest. And then it’s time to let winter’s grey pallor unfold over us in blankets of dark cold rain and bright brisk snows; we sleep, the autumn’s leaves having promised… the warming light will soon return.

Who needs enemy aliens — when the oddities of space travel itself are so mind–blowing?

Whatever’s out there, beyond our galaxy: we want to put eyes on it. But space travel presents quite a problem.

schnotte is a German artist know for his photographs of rotting, decaying buildings and other dark themes. His camera explores architectural structures, but mostly to emphasize their coldness. The human figures in his photographs appear out of place, as if lost in filthy, forgotten, broken-down manufacturing machines, the cold, dark environments not built with humanity in mind. Looking through these images we can see the ghosts of the love that once inhabited his worlds and it is that love that still shines through his pictures. We are blown away by the beauty Schotte imbues to these deathly quiet scenes that are equally sad and uplifting.
